About the event

On Sunday, May 21, visitors can travel back in time to learn about Obadiah Hedden’s working farm in the year 1800 on the grounds surrounding the Durand-Hedden House in Maplewood.

We’ll see what life might have been like for area residents over 200 years ago through exhibits of antique farm equipment, live animals, and a look at how the residents of Maplewood, then called Jefferson Village, lived and worked.

This program is suitable for all ages and children will especially enjoy interacting with and petting friendly farm animals. The House and grounds will be open from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

Pre-registration is appreciated at DurandHedden.org. May 21 is also a great opportunity to view the exhibit on the history of Maplewood Village and to shop at our beautiful Country Store.
