The History of Tea - From China to New Jersey

In honor of Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage month, this exhibit from Spring 2024 explored the long history of tea from China to New Jersey. A historical reanactor was present to share insight into colonial-era tea traditions, and a Chinese tea tasting also took place. Below are panels from the exhibit that traced the journey of tea througout the centuries and the customs of American tea culture in the colonial era.
